{6 month well baby}

Coach
16lbs 4oz - 25th %
27.75in long - 75th %
42cm(?) head circumference - 20th %

Fancy
15lbs 3oz - 25th %
25.25in long - 40th %
43.5cm head circumference - 75th %

We got 4 shots today  :( .  I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate shots.  They scream and then they feel like shit for 24+ hours.  To us, the benefits FAR outweigh the risks, but still, its hard to see your babies hurt.

I seriously can't believe how Coach has pulled ahead so far!  He was 3oz less than Fancy at birth and has been consistently about 3-5oz ahead of her in weight...until now.  A whole POUND!  He's been going through one heck of a growth spurt recently and I guess his length and weight are evidence of that :)  Grow babes grow!

Work, home and everything else are super busy in our lives right now, so blogging has suffered.  Sorry!  I'll do my best to get to the rest of our trip and to blog more.  Have a fab weekend!!!

{FOUR months old}

Yes, we're several days past their monthday, but I can't let it go undocumented!  This will be short, I'm one handed typing this with dos babies sleeping on me.

Stats:
Coach
{birth} 4lbs 15oz, 18.5in long
{2 months} 9lbs 4oz, will have to look up length
{4 months} 12lbs 3oz, 25in long

Fancy
{birth} 5lbs 2oz, 18in long
{2 months} 9lbs 10oz, will have to look up length
{4 months} 12lbs 1oz, 23in long

Shots sucked again and this time they ran a smidge of a low grade fever and slept a lot.  Overall, not too bad though.  These days you can find them chewing on their hands, rolling all over the place, "talking" up a storm, smiling and GIGGLING (my personal fave), kicking anything and everything, grabbing toys and anything else they can get their hands on (including momma's hair and earings) and sitting up (with help).  They're growing right before our very eyes.  I'm loving every second of it :)

Have a fabulous weekend!!!

[SHOTS]

{M} had a reflux appointment today and they ended up getting their first round of shots.  OUCH!  Since they'll be 10 (yes TEN) weeks old on Tuesday the pediatrician thought the sooner the better.  They had a well baby appointment for 6/6, but today worked, so we went with it.  {M} weighs 9lb 4oz and {A} weighs a whopping 9lb 10oz!  They are now in (and almost above) the 10th percentile for weight.  Next week we'll get the rest of their measurements.  The doc thinks his reflux is under control.  He said he can't gain weight any faster than he already is, so he's doing well :)

Now about the shots.  When the doc asked if we could do shots today, M and I sort of panicked.  Were we ready for this?!  We agreed it was time and he went to get the nurse.  She came back in with an arsenal of syringes with sharp ass needles that were mean for my sweet cheeks leggies.  Oh and the rotovirus drink.  The drink went down smooth on both babies.  When the needles came out, that was another story.  We started with baby {M}.  As soon as the nurse plunged the needle into his little chunky leg-WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!  My poor boy was not expecting that.  His little face crumbled and he just let loose.  In the mean time, the nurse kept on plunging.  Two more shots went in before it was over.  Nursie put the bandaids on and I swooped him up to comfort him.  I couldn't take anymore of my sweet boy being in pain.  I'm a wuss, sue me.

Now it was {A}'s turn.  M went over with her.  She took her shots like a CHAMP.  She screamed for about 3 seconds, then she was smiling at daddy.  That kid is a bruiser.  We have our photo shoot on Tuesday for the hospital ad campaign, so we STUPIDLY went shopping after our doc appointment.  They did great all day, slept in the stroller while we shopped.  HUGE sales at Children's Place by the way!  We were on our way back to the car to go home when all hades broke loose.  Eatin' time!  As we loaded them and our loot into the car people stared with pity.  I climbed in between the two car seats (tough fit!), made the bottles and all was right with the world.

I've told M before "everyone loves a twin", he never really took me seriously.  Today was our first outting together.  Every couple steps someone stopped us to ask about the babies, thankfully no one touched them.  I would have had to go all momma bear on their butt.  Everyone "knows" a set of twins and that makes them an expert.  We just smiled and made polite chit chat with those who stopped us.  In the car on the way home M told me we were keeping them inside until they were two :)  Of course thats impossible, but we're a total side show in public.  Everyone loves a twin :)

I met a mom at JCP today who had a 5 month old and she invited me to be part of her Mommy & Me group here.  Yay!  I love my military mommies, but I need some time away from this life style every now and then.  I'm excited to get to know people outside base.

We got the CUTEST shirts at CP today.  I'll take some pics and try and post them this weekend :)
