Just a little late :)

Coach
Weight---18lbs10oz-20th percentile
Height---29cm---75th percentile (string bean)

She says around this age they start to plateau the weight gain, esp the early birds. Apparently they sprinted in weight gain until about 6 months and now we won't see as dramatic weight gain as we have in the past. She's happy with their growth and they're right where they should be.
I mentioned that Coach never had baby rolls and was never fat and that I wondered if we need to chunk him up at all. She said he was doing great and wasn't worried and he's doing perfect, but she gave us some tricks to fatten up his food b/c she saw that I was worried. This kid eats like there's not tomorrow, yet he's still so skinny.
We talked about Fancy's 'tude. She says more than likely she's just really sensitive to her surrounding, growing pains, teeth coming in, etc. She also has some kind of light viral rash on her back (doc wasn't worried just said to use hydrcortizone cream) that could be making her cranky. She's just SUPER irritable. Eating normally, sleeping normally, playing well, etc. I'm stumped.
We also talked about Fancy's lack of teeth. She said she thought she saw some bulging in her gums, but not to expect any teeth our of our little lady for another month or two. She said not getting teeth until 12-13mos is totally normal for some kids.
She said both babies look fabulous and are right on target with their motor skills. She was impressed that little man was starting to walk along the furniture! We can also start table foods! Gosh, so exciting for all the new things, but sad to be leaving the baby stages.
They got a flu shot :( Not expecting that, but they need it. Poor little loves.

{9 months}
In just about 3 hours my babies will be NINE months old. Holy.shit.
We don't go to their 9 month check up for another week and a half, so I don't have stats yet...or pics. I plan to take some snow/Christmas tree pics tonight.
What they're up to:
Coach
- Crawling like a mad man
- Currently cutting tooth #2
- He loooves any kind of electronic. When he sees the laptop, iphones, remotes, etc he beelines for them.
- Banana's are still his fave food and he's starting to branch out to green veggies, but still hates peas. He'll eat ANY fruit. Basically we stick to carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, chicken and I can occasionally sneak in green beans.
- He's the happiest kid I know. Pretty much content to play with is toys and smile 99% of the day. He's just so incredibly sweet.
- He's pulling up on anything that will bear his weight. He can go from sitting to kneeling and hikes one leg up as if he's trying to stand. So close buddy!
- His hair is turning blonde and he's got the most gorgeous brown eyes I've ever seen.
- He's started mimicking what we say. If we say Mama or Dada he'll repeat. The other day we were watching Sesame Street and I said "Look Coach, its Elmo!" He kept saying "Memo" over and over. I don't think he knows what he's saying yet, but the fact that he mimics what he hears is a big step!
- He's obsessed with Elmo. I mean obsessed. When Elmo's world comes on he goes berserk!
- He "dances" when he hears music.
- He shakes his head "no".
- He gives eskimo/gnome kisses.
- He'll give you a hug if you ask for one, and even if you don't :) He's such a love.
- He loves to laugh and play!
- He's a momma's boy.
- He looks just like me-minus the blonde hair
- His hair is starting to curl
Fancy
- She's crawling, but she'd prefer to be held/carried (Momma's girl!)
- She LOVES dill pickles. I have the funniest video of her eating her first one!
- She says Mamamamamamamama all.the.time.
- She will eat anything...except for peas.
- She thinks she's the coolest girl on the block when we put her hair in a little pony tail.
- Daddy is her favorite person ever
- She's a girl who knows what she wants and she will do anything to get it. Takes after her daddy here.
- Loves to "dance".
- The cookie monster on Sesame Street makes her giggle.
- Her witching hour is around 10-11pm and she thinks everything is hysterical at this time. I was changing her diaper last night and I told her "no poops" and she giggled for seriously 20 minutes.
- She wants momma's iphone to be in her hands (or her mouth) at.all.times. Or else.
- She likes to pull her brother's hair. Though, he doesn't seem to mind, he's so easy going.
- She loves eyelashes.
- She's a happy kid, until she's not :)
- They have a pop up toy where you push a button, turn a crank, etc to pop up an animal. It drives her NUTS when they're popped up. She'll go down the line and close all of them and she gets mad when we make them pop up after all her hard work.
- She's a clone of her father. Seriously.
- She's starting to be interested in pulling up.
- Her hair is starting to curl as well.
- She loves to hug, especially her daddy. She hugs Coach when he's fussy. Be still my heart.
I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but you get the idea, they're amazing! I'm so thankful for them. I wake up to those sleepy eyes and those chubby little arms reaching for me and I just can't believe how blessed we are. I'm in awe of how fast they're growing and learning-everyday they figure something out they couldn't do yesterday-and I fall more in love with them every day. They're so loving. Seeing them light up when daddy comes home or reach for me when I walk in the door makes every struggle worth it. They're just incredible.
Pictures to come, I promise!
