{biting}

Fancy has a new hobby...you guessed it, biting.

I took these two pictures today just minutes apart.  They were playing and Coach took a toy she was playing with.  First she got up, yelled at him and pushed him.  Then came the biting.  She didn't actually clamp down hard.  Read:  she didn't even leave a mark.  However, the intent was there.  That's the troubling part.

As I've said before, fighting is in full swing.  One minute they're chasing each other around, giggling and the next they're trying to kill each other.  M and I don't know what to do other than ignore them and intercede when the violence starts.  We talk to them and tell them that "we don't bite/hit/pull hair/pinch/slap/etc", but how much can a one year old really understand?

We decided, rather than fight it, we're just going to start selling tickets to the show :)  Win, win, right?

I took here are some shots I took today.  I'm not happy with the grainy-ness, but I generally like the pictures.  I'm part of a small MoM's (mom's of multiples) photography group on facebook and this week's challenge was black & white.  I'm still learning how to edit in b&w, so bear with me.  I'm not really a b&w person, so this was a struggle for me, but I like how a few of them came out.

Happy Tuesday!  Poop, its only Tuesday.

{Life in the fast lane}

 Packing is in full swing.  M leaves soon to go to NC to look for a house.  Eeek!  Less than a month and a half.  Orders have been cut!  He got news of the PCS (permanent change of station) in October.  Ya, we've been patiently waiting for the powers that be to get their poop together and I guess they FINALLY have.

Suddenly, I feel like we have so much to do and almost no time to do it.  Stress doesn't begin to cover it and we've only just begun.  When I feel stressed, overwhelmed I take out my camera.  Snapping and editing pictures helps me chill.  Weird.  It used to be coloring.  Like with crayons in a coloring book.  Sometimes you just need to lose yourself.

Lately we've gotten sucked into Weeds.  Its such a dumb premise for a show, yet I can't stop watching it.  This woman is train wreck city.  Oh Nancy Botwin, you've got some cajones, lady.

P.S.  The pictures above were shot in ISO 800, varying f-stop f5.6-f8, 1/60-1/125.  I can shoot Fancy all day.  She sits still and poses almost.  Coach is another story.  He's like trying to capture lightening.  Nearly impossible.  I try, but there's a lot of motion blur with him.  Plus, he's constantly moving-hence motion blur.  Practice makes perfect :)

Have a fab week!

{More manual fun}

First and foremost, I finally fixed my white balance and I'm happy to say these photos have barely been edited.  So proud!  I feel like I've found my niche with this camera.  FINALLY.  I pulled the ISO down to 400 (but moved it back up to 800-it was overcast this am).  My camera is downstairs, so I don't know what exact setting I used.  I migrated between a few for this shoot.

I'm pleased with how they turned out.  I figured out how to reduce motion blur and I'm so much happier chasing my munchkins around!

Yes, Fancy has yogurt crust on her face.  Is it bad that I didn't notice it until I was editing these pictures?  Oh and I'm trying to get the babies to sleep (co-sleep) and I just looked over and Fancy was knuckle deep in her nose.  Can you guess what she did next?  Yep, she TRIED to eat it.  I caught her in time to wipe off her hand.  Ew.  Ah, life with twoddlers!  Have a fabulous day!
