{Hugs and Sesame Street}

(Breaking my own rule, no pics this post)

Lots of new things to report!

Fancy watches us very closely and has become a little copy cat.  She copies sounds we make and expressions too.  She's so funny!  She's also started giving hugs.  Last night Coach was fussy and she crawled over to him and gave him a big hug (!).  She wrapped her chubby little arms around her twin brother and laid her sweet blonde head on his shoulder.  These kids melt my heart.

She also baby dances like its her job.  She hears music (of any kind) and she starts be-bopping.  Coach likes to dance too.  He's started taking things apart.  He's figuring out how to take his diaper (and his sister's diaper) off, how to get his paci off the lanyard, how to break things, etc.  Typical baby boy :)

Lots of giggling and Coach loves to smile a lot to show of his new tooth.  Oh ya, ANOTHER tooth is popping through right next to the one he's already got.  We've run through Yo Gabba Gabba several times and now we're on to Sesame Street.  They LOVE Sesame Street.

They're pulling up on everything.  Not quite standing yet, but getting close.  Their hair is getting long and both have a hint of curl.  They both have mommy/daddy preferences depending on the day and how sleepy they are.  At this point, Princess Fancy is a daddy's girl and Mr Coach is a momma's boy.  Though they both love to snuggle with momma AND daddy.

Their 9 month appt is coming up on the 4th (the soonest we could get in) and I'm excited to see how big they are!  Cruising to their first birthday incredibly fast.  Which we'll be celebrating in our new house in NC-God willing.  What an incredible 9 months its been!  I'm pumped to see what the rest of this year and toddlerhood have in store for us.

On the home buying front:  We've found several houses that we're pleased with, or at least from what we see on the MLS listing and pictures.  M and my dad are going to NC in a couple weeks to see them in person and hopefully put an offer in.  I'm a bit bummed that I'm not going, but dragging the babies (I am not ready to leave them with a sitter, especially for that long) on (nearly) cross country flights and home viewings is probably WAY much more trouble than buying a house should be.  I trust M and my dad...I think!  I'll be in close video contact so I can chime in as needed.  Wish us luck!

On the medical front:  I had a lymph node biopsy last week.  It was benign.  At this point, things are sort of status quo.  I have a referral to neurology for my previous symptoms, but they're gone, so I'm not sure what to do at this point.  I probably will keep it just to run things by the Dr.  We'll see.  So for now, I'm healthy.

Blogging has become harder and harder with mobile babies.  Bear with me!

[Its only 11am?]

What a day.

There will be a lot of swearing, you've been warned.

It began as the clock rolled over from 11:59pm to 12:00am.  The babies didn't sleep.  AT ALL.  Like not even for more than an hour at a time.  WHY???  Our pediatrician told us to start skipping the night feeding.  As if I have a choice in the matter.  I tried, I really did.  I struggled with them for HOURS-holding in paci's, rocking, patting, singing, shushing, etc-until I finally deduced that they were indeed hungry (when they started to scream rather than fuss).  Sorry lady, I'm not starving my children because they're "supposed to be sleeping all night by now".  Fuck off.

I woke up late, having turned my alarm on snooze too many times to try and get SOME sleep.  I rushed around, traded cars with M because he had errands to run with the car seats.  Forgot to get my work key off of my key chain.  I get to work late-love you Denver traffic, only to discover this unfortunate casualty of my rush.  I frantically look for the maintenance man who I can NEVER find.  Of course the management office is deserted.  I finally had to admit defeat and call my boss.  Thank goodness she was in the parking garage and very sweet and understanding.

I've been having some weird symptoms lately (chronic sore neck where the skull meets the neck when I turn  a certain way, random slight numbness in my toes/legs/hands/arms, etc).  I call the base clinic to get an appt.  I wait on hold for FIFTEEN minutes for someone to answer my call.  I tell him my issues and he says we'll have to make two appts, one for each ailment.  Are you fucking serious you moron?  Obviously they're related.  I told him I'd be making ONE appt and we'd be discussing both issues.  He cautioned me that the PCM may want to make another appt.  Whatever, fine.  So we finally get to the date/time of the appt.  He says, "the soonest she has is Oct 17 in the afternoon."  I tell him that won't work and ask about Oct 19.  He claims they don't schedule out that far.  Really?  REALLY?  Is a teensy bit of competence too much to ask?  I mean, shit.

After consulting Dr. Google, I come to the conclusion that I either have a spinal tumor, MS or some form of brain cancer/tumor.  This is a fabulous news for someone who stresses over the slightest things and can't get a fucking appointment.  Even if I did get an appt, I'd need a referral which would need to come from my PCM, go through the base referral office, on to Tricare and then to the chosen doc.  I'll probably be dead by the time its all said and done.  Last time I needed something (thyroid) it took weeks and in the end they referred me to a doc not taking new tricare patients.  Fun.

What the hell happened to my body?  Its one thing after another these days.  I'm literally falling apart at the seams.  I blame pregnancy.  I was completely healthy before pregnancy and now it seems like every week brings a new, terrifying piece of shit worry.

Its only 11:02am.  I'm actually physically terrified to see what else this wretched day has to bring.
