{teething toys and other tales}

We're in the early stages of teething.  See...

Although, Coach prefers a good ol' set of knuckles to a frozen toy

The babies seem to have a "witching hour".  They'll go to sleep around 7:30-8p and then get up around 10p and want to party.  Evidence...

They're tricky now in that they wake each other up.  For instance, tonight, I had Coach down and I was working on rocking Fancy.  Her eyes are closed and she's sucking on her Nuk.  So very close to sleeping bliss for all three of us (daddy is working).  Out of nowhere she starts "singing".  I mean she's BELTING it.  Singing then becomes screeching and in a matter of seconds they're both wide awake, chatting and giggling.  Its hard getting two very determined babies down for the night when they want to stay up and party.

As challenging as twins can be when I'm by myself, I love our special time together.  We haven't had much since I delivered them.  We love having daddy around, don't get me wrong.  He's absolutely fabulously wonderful and I couldn't do this without him.  BUT, playtime with just me and them is sacred.  It brings back all those memories of when the three of us were sharing a body.  As uncomfortable as I was, it was amazing.  I was so in tune with them.  It was cool.  I miss that, but I love being able to kiss the bodies that I was so anxious to meet.

I know I've gushed endlessly about the joys of motherhood and here comes some more :)  Every day when I wake up to the two most beautiful smiling faces, I fall deeper in love.  I didn't know a heart could be so full.  Motherhood is by far and away the most amazing role in life.  I always knew I wanted to be a mommy, ALWAYS, but I had no idea just how powerful a feeling it would be.  The love you have for your child/children is instantaneous and its intense.  The moment you meet them, you'll do anything for their happiness, health, safety, love, etc.  Your heart beats for them.

We're almost to the weekend!

[Houston, I have a problem]

We have several too many new pairs of babylegs on their way.  What?  They've decided to continue they're "back to school" 1/2 off sale.  Of course, I couldn't ignore HALF OFF.

Here are just a few on the way that I can't wait to get my hands on!

Little Miss Sassy will be fierce in these!

Every little boy needs dino clothes, right?

I mean really?!  How precious are these?

A throw back to my 5 own childhood obsession with Rainbow Bright.

The good news is, we now have 95% of the babylegs I *need*.  Hopefully these will satisfy my obsession, at least until they come out with a bunch of new ones ;)

{babylegs}

We practically live in babylegs here.  We just got five new pairs this week, they had a 1/2 off sale!  For the most part, the babies stay home with one of us, so a onesie, socks and babylegs pretty much comprise their everyday wardrobe.  We have TONS of clothes, so we try to keep rotating so we can use everything before they grow out of them, but we ALWAYS go back to babylegs.  They're easy, comfy and oh so cute!

I just love these quilted babylegs.  They're classic, adorable and perfect for our sucky Colorado winters :)

Coach is set for fall/winter too!  I love that the face and tail are furry.

I got these where's waldo babylegs as a filler to beat paying for shipping.  I'm pretty sure I'm gonna buy a second pair to appease my need to dress the babies like Christmas elves for our family pics.

Yes, this is one set.  I had to show the detail of the precious ballerina babylegs on the top and bottom.  I can't wait to put Fancy in these.

Daddy chose these for sweet Coach.  I can picture it now, Daddy, Coach, rotel and some football on the boob tube.  I can't wait for Fall!!!

We love our babylegs!

{baby legs}

We love them :)  They finally fit!

Well...
they sort of fit.

They slide down on this little one's legs.  We need some more chunk on these leggies.

I just love this little girl :)  Her brother too, but she happens to be the one I'm holding in this picture.  They smile and giggle and are starting to hug our necks when we hold them.  There's nothing like a big gummy grin from your babies in the morning when they see your face.  Amazing.
