{9 month well baby}

Just a little late :)

Fancy
Weight---17lbs 10oz-25th percentile (still our little peanut)
Height---27cm-25th percentile
Head---Not sure of the exact #, but she's 75th percentile here

Coach
Weight---18lbs10oz-20th percentile
Height---29cm---75th percentile (string bean)
Head---Not sure of exact #, but he's in the 25th percentile here

She says around this age they start to plateau the weight gain, esp the early birds.  Apparently they sprinted in weight gain until about 6 months and now we won't see as dramatic weight gain as we have in the past.  She's happy with their growth and they're right where they should be.

I mentioned that Coach never had baby rolls and was never fat and that I wondered if we need to chunk him up at all.  She said he was doing great and wasn't worried and he's doing perfect, but she gave us some tricks to fatten up his food b/c she saw that I was worried.  This kid eats like there's not tomorrow, yet he's still so skinny.

We talked about Fancy's 'tude.  She says more than likely she's just really sensitive to her surrounding, growing pains, teeth coming in, etc.  She also has some kind of light viral rash on her back (doc wasn't worried just said to use hydrcortizone cream) that could be making her cranky.  She's just SUPER irritable.  Eating normally, sleeping normally, playing well, etc.  I'm stumped.

We also talked about Fancy's lack of teeth.  She said she thought she saw some bulging in her gums, but not to expect any teeth our of our little lady for another month or two.  She said not getting teeth until 12-13mos is totally normal for some kids.

She said both babies look fabulous and are right on target with their motor skills.  She was impressed that little man was starting to walk along the furniture!  We can also start table foods!  Gosh, so exciting for all the new things, but sad to be leaving the baby stages.

They got a flu shot  :(  Not expecting that, but they need it.  Poor little loves.

  1. Great news that everything is going well. The kids are wonderful. And mom and dad are too! Love, Grandpa Ron.
