{Cool things about North Carolina}

1.  I saw a C-17 take off yesterday while I was at Fort Bragg for my Dr appt.  We saw (and heard) F-16's coming and going all the time in Denver, but seeing a C-17 up close (huge) is incredible. 

2.  The sunsets are heart stoppingly beautiful almost every night. 

3.  The humidity is making my skin and hair pretty.

4.  Chivalry is NOT dead.  Its alive and well here in the south. 

5.  The Beach. 

6.  The history.  As I mentioned in a post this weekend, there are Civil War battlefields all over this place. 

7.  Everything sounds better with a southern drawl. 

8.  The Daddy loves his job and his unit is really top notch.  They have unit doctors so we don't have to deal with the hustle and bustle of this massive installation's medical system. 

9.  Despite the pockets of extreme poverty, its a beautiful area.  The Sea Pines and sandy soil are really different. 

10.  The Triangle. 

11.  Fitness and healthy living are a big part of life at Bragg.  Though, its really hard to find a healthy restaurant.  There's a Chipotle in Fayetteville and about 468 McDonalds.  If you plan ahead you MIGHT get through the line in an hour.  Yank. 

12.  We love the trees.  Everything is so green and lush. 

I'm sure there are more, but that's all I can think of at this moment.  So far we like it here.  Big adjustment, but a good one.  Lets cross our fingers the momentum continues.
