In the midst of yet another no-nap induced temper tantrum, I find myself reminicing. Gone are the days of two nice, long naps. Mornings are good. Fresh out of a 12 hour slumber will put anyone in a good mood. After lunch, my living room is a war zone. Hitting, hair pulling, tantrum throwing, toy stealing, constant whining, endless crying...sounds like a nap would fix these crabby babies, right? I bet a nap would do wonders. Problem is, they won't fucking sleep.
I'm hoping to add some play dates and trips around town a couple times a week. I'd love to take them outside, but its just too hot. Coach overheats very quickly. We'll have to wait for cooler weather to play outside. I'm thinking they just need to be worn out. So much fun that they literally sleep from exhaustion. Right?
Ugh. Its just so exhausting. Lately both of them have been so clingy. I love holding them and playing with them, don't get me wrong, but they sit on my lap all afternoon. For like 5 hours at a time. Nothing gets done. If I don't hold them, they scream. Like make themselves throw up, scream. We're cutting a lot of teeth right now, I know thats a contributor. Coach has like 16 teeth. He's a little man :)
I know this is pretty normal toddler behavior. I know it will get better. I know that I'll miss them wanting to snuggle so frequently. So I'll just hang on for the ride and hope that we're not screwing them up too badly :)
Speak of the devil, after a 30 minute snooze the duo is up!
