Its starting to look more and more like {M} has reflux. We thought he might in the NICU because he spit up/threw up a lot. We got him home and noticed he cried through some feedings, arched his back, spit up and now he's throwing up about 1/2 and oz per feeding. I'm praying its something like reflux that can be treated with meds and not something more serious. We have a pediatrician appointment Friday. I really hope we can figure this out so our poor boy can eat :(
Last night we put the babies to bed IN their CRIBS. They slept in there from 9p-almost 1a, but I heard strange noises on their monitors that sounded like voices, so I pulled them into bed with me where they slept until 2a. Since we switched to Similac Advance they've been waking once/night to feed. When they were on Similac Neosure (high cal preemie formula) they slept all night. We didn't put them down for the night until midnight though. We fed at 9p and put them in their swings downstairs or let them sleep on us while we got the house picked up. Then they fed at midnight and slept all night. I have a feeling if we still did the midnight feeding, they'd sleep clear through to the morning. Not that I mind. Getting two, five hour stretches works for me! Now I need to train myself to go to bed @ 9p when they do :) In the next month we're gonna shoot for a 7-8p bed time. We could, in theory, put them down after their 6p feeding, but when I start back to work til 5 in the fall I'll never see them :( We'll see what they decide, after all, they dictate the situation anyway!
Smiles. Oh the smiles! Oh my goodness my daughter has a beautiful grin :) She's such a happy girl and loves when we talk to her about this and that. She's >thisclose< to a giggle. I can't wait! {M}, who's always been a week behind his sister in every.damn.thing, is very close to a big gummy grin. When we try to get him smiling he gives us an Elvis lip and starts chatting away. He smiles a lot, but we haven't seen the big whoppers we've seen out of {A}. He also seems to smile more with his eyes. You can tell when that boy's happy. I love them!
No new pics. I know, shocking, right? I am in the middle of my 3 day work week (3day, 5 hours/day), so daddy's home with them and he's not great about getting pictures of every.little.thing like I am :)
Have a great week and those in MO, stay safe.
