We hit the beach for a couple hours on Saturday. The babies had a blast swimming and playing in the sand, eating sandy blueberries, chasing pelicans (or what looked like pelicans, see vid below) you know the usual beach activities. It was so hot, even with the sea breeze. We finally pulled them out of the water and got them back to the hotel for a nap. Ha! Nap didn't happen.
We went to the pier and watched the birds and the fisherman today. So fun. There's just something completely tranquil about being near the ocean. Beautiful, even when its crawling with people. Its there to enjoy, the more the merrier :) We scoped out some condos we hope to rent in the near future. I'm not sure why we didn't just buy in Carolina Beach and just have the daddy commute. ;)
We've promised to take a weekend off next weekend so we have something to look forward to. Plus, somehow this house needs to get painted, backsplash put up, ceiling fans installed, blah, blah, blah. Lots of fun stuff, but somehow, the beach is just funner (not a word, I realize).
