Fancy GIGGLES! We were playing with them on the play mat tonight and I had my hair in a pony tail. I dipped my hair in her face and she stinking giggled! I can't believe my sweet girl can giggle, one of the best moments in parenthood :) I can't wait til Coach joins in. He's got the most beautiful smile...well one of the two, and he'll make an absolutely precious giggle too.
I do have a video of the first (or second) giggle, but I need to pull it off my camera and I just didn't have time this evening. I promise to get it up this weekend. Remind me!
They're really "talking" these days too. Holy cow its cute! They understand "I love you" and "beautiful baby". I get the biggest grins from those two phrases. They also know their names...and all their billions of nicknames. How they managed to follow all their nicknames, I'm not sure.
I seems Coach has developed eczema. He's got some mild spots on his poor chest. They seem to get better with lotion though. I called the nurses line at my pediatrician today and she said just to watch it and if he develops a fever, stops eating, it spreads, etc to come in. Hopefully it doesn't do any of the afore mentioned. I hate baby ailments with a bloody passion. I never get a moments peace from worry. I guess that comes with the territory though, right?
I think I mentioned that my OB was testing my thyroid for a cause to this wacky post partum crap. I got the results today-NORMAL. No call, just a message on my medical portal online (have you heard of these? I love it!). Pap is normal too. Whew! After pregnancy, childbirth (vaginal or section), paps tend to pop abnormal. Safe for another year...I hope anyway! Initially my delivering OB thought I might have a tiny piece of retained placenta. That hasn't been ruled out yet, but I saw one of her partners for my annual and she doesn't think that's the case. She did say if my strange spotting persists I need to have an ultrasound to check for the cause. Fun.
I had a big long controversial post written out about all my parenting beliefs and how they don't line up with modern thinking (scheduled c-section, circumcision, vaxing, babywise, etc), but I'll save that for another day. I'm not in the mood to blog fight with "anonymous" commenters tonight :)
Have a GREAT weekend!
