{15 months old}

The babies are 15 months old as of 11:44 and 11:45 yesterday morning.  How?  They're little kids now.  Doing lots of little kid things.

*  They're both running now.  Its amazing how they go from thinking about walking for a couple months, steps here and there, to full blown walking in a day and running a week after that.  Amazing stuff.

*  They're talking a lot more now too, pretty much the same stuff I mentioned yesterday, but today when we said "Bless you" when Coach sneezed, Fancy said "bussu".  She says it every time anyone sneezes.  Cheese is still her fave.  She's got several more words than her brother, but he's talking a lot too.  He is a little harder to understand, but he's doing really well.  We're working on "help" and "please".  When they want help with something they grunt and get frustrated.  We're trying to teach them "help" so they can communicate without getting frustrated.  Not quite there yet.

*  Coach is huge.  We put him on our home scale and he's about 25lbs to his petite sister's 22.5lbs.  They're really starting to have a discordance.  He's a boy, so we expect him to start getting a lot bigger.  They were so close in weight/height for so long its crazy to see how fast he's growing.

*  Coach watches things very closely to figure out how they work.  We were playing with the jack in the box pop up toy yesterday and I showed them how to turn the crank to get the pig to pop out of the box.  Coach watched a few times and then when I gave it to him to try, he pulled the clip on the top of the box and opened the top.  He figured out that the clip moves when the crank is turned.  He decided to skip the crank all together.  Poor Fancy was turning and turning and turning that crank, working so hard to get that pig to pop out and Coach swoops in and just pushes the clip aside.  He's also figured out how to get into our iphones and get into the kid games.  He knows how to get into the phonebook and even called some people yesterday.  That was fun :)  He's a smart little guy.  Fancy is too, but she's like me.  She gets super annoyed when she doesn't figure something out quickly and moves on.

*  Fancy is all about being a girl.  She loves bows, purses, sunglasses and just generally being "pitty" a.k.a pretty.  She loves when people stop and tell her how gorgeous she is.  Such a ham.

*  They love t.v.  Woops.  Not intentional, but they do watch some t.v.  We only really let them watch Sesame Street and they sometimes pay attention to things we're watching.  Yesterday they were all about Pee Wee on HBO.  Another woops, but in my defense, when the audience laughed, they did this cute little fake laugh.  It was so cute, in fact, I couldn't change the channel to something more kid appropriate.  They have a cow when Sesame Street comes on.  They're obsessed.  They really only like Elmo, Super Grover, The Count, Bert and Ernie and Big Bird.  Fancy loves Abby Cadabby.  They don't pay much attention to the people or the kids, just the puppets.

*  They love being outside.  Even in this swampy, sticky, hot mess of a climate, they love it.  They point to trees, birds and any other creature that happens to cross our path.  They love seeing other people.  They wave and smile when they see someone.  They're so cute.  They love other kids.  They walk up to them and hug them.  The bonuses of having a sibling is you know how to play with other kids.

*  They fight.  We have two of everything, but they still find something to fight over.  Mostly my sunglasses (they broke my 5th pair this summer-you'd think I'd learn), iphones or something totally obscure like a magazine.
