{soothies}

As you can see we don't subscribe to the "anti-paci" school of thought ;)  When you have twins and can only comfort one at a time (well mostly), you have to rely on something ELSE to soothe them.  Enter Soothies pacifiers.  One of our favorite NICU nurses sent us home with literally 30 soothies when the babies were discharged from the hospital.  It seems like everywhere you look in our house, there's another paci.  They're invading!

They play this game we've aptly named the "paci game".  We put the paci's in, they spit them out. We put them BACK in, they spit them out.  They think its terribly hilarious...that is until they REALLY want it and we've grown tired of the game.  Then they scream.  They already know how to work us.

Without further ado, paci pics-there are TONS.  You've been warned ;)

Day ONE.  {M} and his very first soothie.  They put sweeties (sugar water) on the paci when they had to put in an IV to calm them.  Worked like a charm!

{A} and her very first soothie, day ONE.  Poor little doll needed something to make her feel better :(

Celebrating her first hours off the cpap with a soothie!

Daddy, {A} and her fave accessory, the soothie.

This one is a "gumdrop", its the preemie version of the soothie...from what I understand.  The breathing treatment masks get in the way of the round soothies, this one has a cut out so they can still use it while on a breathing machine.

She's home!  So is her soothie :)

They wouldn't be twins if they didn't prefer the same paci, right?

Purple soothie!  They come in lots of colors :)

No photoshoot is complete without our soothies.

I actually like the effect they had in this pic.  The color is vibrant!

I don't have a clever caption for this one.

Eek I love them!

First nap in the crib!

Snuggles :)

No one in this house sleeps unless soothies are in place (and stay in place)

Two months old and we still love our soothies!

This was last week after the photoshoot.  For most of the pictures they had their paci's in.  Hey, when you're working with babies you do what they want.

Sleeping on Momma.

After a bath

Nap time!

Annnnnd even Daddy's not enough, gotta have our soothie!
