{car seat}

We scoured the safety ratings, colors, styles, etc to choose the perfect car seats.  Isn't it funny how first time parents painstakingly research every last detail of the baby items we buy?  I wonder if it was always so.  Regardless, our kids are worth the effort!

When looking for car seats (or anything baby related for that matter) look at safety features, color, blah blah blah, but also look for something easy to clean.  Babies are MESSY and I've found out the hard way, you'll probably have to either feed them or clean up their spit up more than once in their car seat.  Comfort was a big thing for us too.  We touched, squeezed and rubbed more car seat padding than I care to remember.  Certain seats were too puffy, others didn't have enough filling.  Still more had rough, itchy fabric.  I love our seats because they are simple, stylish, not gender specific, soft (but not too soft) and very easy to use and clean.  The good news is, we did good.  Our babies love their car seats!

And car seat monkey (he has a mirror on his belly)

And car seat cat (his belly has little balls in it and he rattles)

Instant naps when the car starts

Sound asleep

We occasionally have a melt down (like today) when momma has to jump in the back.  Its tough getting yourself wedged between two big car seats.  When we decide to have more kids, we'll definitely need MUCH bigger cars.  Good thing we're not in the market for a new car just yet ;)
